So i think if you liked Commandos, you would probably like this game too!īasically its a stealth tactics game, where you need to be aware of things such as where you are visible to the guards (meaning you have to hide in the shadows, climb up on rooftops etc.) and how the guards patrol, where to hide bodies and so on. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Its very similar to the Commandos! I think that was their biggest inspiration. The game runs normal speed for a couple minutes, then the screen flickers and comes back fine but from that point on the lag returns. I also tried these settings with the same results I posted eariler. Hope this helps and I sincerely thank everybody for sharing their very helpful experiences I'm running Windows 10 on a High-End System and the game is perfectly playable with these settings I exported the profile by right clicking it and selecting export so that I can load it if I ever need it againĪnd I had to download DSWin8 from the following link Originally posted by youssef111988:What made it run fine for me were these settings in Dxwnd: Love the Commandos series this seems somewhat like. Any suggestions? If no other fixes Ill have to request a refund unfortunately. The screen flickers and then comes back fine but that is when the lag takes over. I went through all of these steps and it works but within a couple minutes the lag comes back. I won't be replying here much, since i'm gonna be busy re-living my childhood! This fix made the game run like it did back in 2002. i've tryed the other fixes, but they didn't work. Originally posted by Ookami:Here is a fix that fixed it for me. When you close dxwnd, answer "Yes" to save the options that you changed. This part is just a bit of a trial and error, I don't know why it happens but you can get past it.ĩ) You will need to start DxWnd every time before you launch the game. If you can't select the error/alert window use Alt Tab keys to cycle through the open windows. If this happens just press the Return key on your keyboard. You may get an error/alert that says something like "SetHook: proc=GetAvailableVidMem(D) oldhook=26b3e0". Launch the game in Steam (Not in DxWnd itself, DxWnd runs in the backround!). If the cursor flickers on the main screen of the game don't worry, it works fine in-game.Ĩ) Lastly click "OK" in dxwnd, if all is good it will show a green circle before the name of the game in DxWnd. Set "W" and "H" to your native resolution (in my case that's W=1920 and H=1080).Ħ) In the "Video" tab, under "Windows handling" tick "Modal Style" and under "Color management" tick "Set 16BPP RGB565 encoding".ħ) Next in "Input" tab tick "Hide Cursor". exe file of the game (in my case it looks like Steam\SteamApps\common\Robin Hood\game.exe).ĥ) In the "Main" tab, under "Generic" untick "Run in Window".ĥ.1) Also in "Main" tab, under "Position" set "Window initial position
